Ինչո՞ւ է այդքան կարևոր որպես քրիստոնյաներ ուսումնասիրել Ելից գիրքը: Որովհետև Ելիցը նաև մեր պատմության մի մասն է: «Մովսեսը կանչեց Իսրայելի բոլոր ծերերին և ասաց նրանց. Ընտրեցեք, և ձեզ համար ձեր ընտանեաց համեմատ գառն առեք, և զատիկը մորթեցեք: Եվ զոպայի փունջ առեք և կոնքի մեջ եղած արյունով թաթախեցեք և կոնքի մեջ եղած արյունից քսեցեք դռան վրայի սեմին և երկու դրանդիներին» (Ելից 12.21-22): 

Զատիկի գառի ոսկորները չպետք է կոտրվեին: Ոչ էլ Հիսուսի ոսկորները պետք է կոտրվեին: Զատիկի գառան արյունը քսվեց զոպայի փունջով: Գինու քացախը բարձրացվեց Հիսուսի շուրթերին զոպայի փունջով:

Գառան արյունը քսվեց դռան վերևում և երկու դրանդիներին: Քանի դեռ մարդիկ «ծածկված» էին արյունով, նրանք փրկվում էին: Ի դեպ, Զատիկը կարող է նաև կոչվել ծածկող:  Ծածկված գառի արյունով և երկու կողմից: Նման կերպ, մենք ծածկված ենք Աստծո Գառան՝ Հիսուսի արյամբ:

Exodus 11 

Why is it important to study the book of Exodus as Christians? Because Exodus is part of our story too.

“Then Moses summoned all the elders of Israel and said to them, ‘Go at once and select the animals for your families and slaughter the Passover lamb. Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe’” (Ex. 12: 21-22). 

The bones of the Passover lamb were not to be broken. Neither were the bones of Jesus broken.The blood of the Passover lamb was spread with the stalk of the hyssop plant.  Wine-vinegar was lifted to the lips of Jesus with the stalk of the hyssop plant. 

The blood of the lamb was spread above and to the sides of the doorway. As long as the people were “covered” with the blood, they were safe. In fact, Passover can also be called cover-over. Covered over by the blood of the lamb, above and to the sides. In the same way, we are covered over by the blood of Christ, the Lamb of God.
