Սավուղին մերժելուց հետո Աստծո օրհնությամբ Սամվել մարգարեն նոր հանձնարարություն է ստանում՝ փնտրել մի նոր թագավոր։ Այն ժամանակ, երբ Սավուղը աչքի էր ընկնում իր բարձրահասակությամբ, ուշադրություն դարձրեք Աստծո ցուցումներին Սամվելին, երբ նա սկսեց գնահատել Հեսսեյի ավագ որդուն։

«Նրա երևույթին և հասակի երկայնությանը մի նայիր, որովհետև նրան անարգեցի, այն պատճառով, որ այն չէ բանը, որ տեսնում է մարդը, որովհետև մարդը տեսնում է աչքի առաջինը, բայց Տերը սրտին է նայում» (Ա Թագավորաց 16․7)։ Հեսսեի բոլոր որդիներին ներկայացնելուց հետո էլ Աստված ոչ մի նշան ցույց չէր տալիս, թե ում օծել։ Դուք կարող եք պատկերացնել Սամվելի վիճակը։ «Արդյո՞ք սրանք են ձեր բոլոր որդիները»,- հարցրեց նա հորը։

Հավանաբար, երբ Սամվելը զոհաբերության համար հավաքել էր Հեսսեի ամբողջ ընտանիքին, փոքրիկ Դավիթը այնքան արժանիքներ չուներ, որ ներգրավված լիներ։ Չնայած նրան, որ նա իր հայրական տան ամենափոքրն էր և անտեսվել էր հատուկ տոնի ժամանակ, նա չէր վրդովվում, այլ հավատարմորեն հսկում էր իր հոր հոտը։

Դուք կարող եք պատկերացնել, երբ նա ոչ միայն կանչվեց զոհաբերության տոնին, այլ նաև Սամվելը օծեց նրան և տվեց Աստծո յուրահատուկ օրհնությունը։ Աստվածաշունչն ասում է․ «Եվ այն օրից հետո Տիրոջ հոգին եկավ Դավթի վրա» (համար 13)։

Դավիթը շարունակում էր մնալ հավատարիմ, և կարծես ճակատագրի հեգնանքով Սավուղը լսում է այս երիտասարդի մասին, ով ձեռք էր բերել ոչ միայն հմուտ երաժշտի համբավ, այլ նաև, որպես ուժեղ և խելացի, պատերազմի մարդ, իմաստուն և բացի այդ՝ բարետես։ Իսկ այժմ Աստված կանչում է նրան հովվությունից պալատ, որպեսզի պատրաստի իր ճանապարհորդության հաջորդ քայլին։

Ճիշտ այդպես Աստված պատրաստում է մեզ բոլորիս դեպի Արքայություն, Երկնային Արքայություն։ Բայց Աստծո և աշխարհի որակավորումը էապես տարբերվում է։ Եթե դուք այն մարդն եք, ով զգում է իրեն մոռացված և անտեսված, կամ միգուցե արժան չէ ինչ որ բանի, ապա նայեք Մատթեոս 5.1-12-ը՝ հասկանալու Աստծո Արքայության որակավորման չափորոշիչները։

Հիշեք, խոսքը անվանի ու հմայիչ, և ոչ էլ տաղանդավոր լինելու մասին է, չնայած դրանք էլ սխալ չեն։ Իսկ ո՞րն է ամենակարևորը։ «Որտե՞ղ է ձեր սիրտը։ Եվ ի՞նչ կա ձեր սրտում»։

1 Samuel 16

With the blessing of God having departed from Saul’s kingdom, the prophet Samuel now has the task of looking for a new king. While Saul was distinguished for his height, notice God’s specific instructions to Samuel this time as he began to evaluate the eldest son of Jesse. “Look NOT on his countenance or on the height of his stature, because I have refused him.

For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” (vs. 7) After being introduced to what he thought was all of Jesse’s sons, and God still not giving him some sign of whom to anoint, you can imagine how perplexed Samuel was. “Is this ALL your children?” he asked the father.

Apparently when Samuel called Jesse’s household together for the sacrifice, little David was not esteemed important enough to be included. But despite being the least in his father’s house and being left behind in the special celebration, he wasn’t sulking, but was faithfully watching his father’s sheep.

You can imagine his surprise when he was not only called to the sacrifice, but when Samuel anointed him, and gave him God’s special blessing. We are told, “And the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.” (vs. 13)

David continues to be faithful and through what would seem like quite an ironic twist, King Saul hears about this young man who has developed a reputation of being not only a skilled musician, but strong and brave, a man of war, and wise—even good looking besides. And now God calls him from the sheepfold to the palace to prepare him for the next step in his journey.

Just like David, God is preparing all of us for the Kingdom, the Heavenly Kingdom. But the qualifications are not the same as that of the world. If you are that person that feels forgotten or overlooked, or maybe not worthy, review Matthew 5:1-12 to see God’s qualifications for His Kingdom.

Remember, it’s not about being popular or attractive, or even talented—although those things are not wrong. But what is most important? “Where is your heart? And what is in your heart?”
