Հիսուսը սերմնացանն է և Նա թողել էր Իր երկնային վայրը, մարդկությանը բերելու սերմը՝ Աստծո Խոսքը: Էլեն Ուայթը գրում է «Նրա ծառաները նույնպես պետք է գնան սերմ ցանելու»: Շատ հաճախ, մենք մոռանում ենք, որ Հզոր Աստվածը մեզ կանչում է սերմնացաններ դառնալու: Մենք պետք է հող գտնենք սերմը ցանելու համար:

Բացի այդ, երբ մենք ընդունում ենք սերմնացաններ դառնալու կոչը, շատ ժամանակ մենք քարոզում ենք և սպասում լավագույնին: Մենք աղոթում ենք, որ այնտեղ` քարքարոտ և փշոտ տարածքում լավ հող լինի: Բայց, մենք կարդում ենք. «Սերմնացանը աշխատանք ունի կատարելու, պատրաստելով սրտերը՝ ավետարանն ընդունելու համար»: 

Աստծո խոսքի սպասարկման մեջ կան շատ արարողություններ, և շատ քիչ սիրտ առ սիրտ աշխատանք: Անհրաժեշտ է անհատապես աշխատել կորած հոգու հետ: Քրիստոնեական կարեկցանքով մենք անհատական մոտեցում պետք է ցուցաբերենք մարդկանց նկատմամբ և ձգտենք արթնացնել նրանց հետաքրքրությունը երկնային բաների հանդեպ… 

Քրիստոսի սերը երևում է անհատական գործունեության մեջ: Այն կարող է փափկացնել քարքարոտ սիրտը, և ճշմարտության սերմը կարող է արմատ տալ»: Նա շարունակում է, ասելով. «Սերմնացանը պետք է այնպես անի, որ սերմը չխեղդվի փշերից կամ չչորանա անբավարար հողի պատճառով»:

Մեր դերը, որպես սերմնացաններ, ոչ միայն սերմ տարածելն է, բայց նաև հողի հետ աշխատելը: Հիշենք պարզապես, ինչպես մեր սիրտն է փափկել Հիսուսի միջոցով, նույնպես էլ մեր աշխատանքի միջոցով մյուսներինն էլ կարող է փափկել:

Jesus is the sower and left His place in Heaven to bring the seed, the Word of God, to humanity. Ellen White writes that, “His servants in like manner must go forth to sow.” Too often we forget that the Great Commission calls us to become sowers. We are to find soil for the scattering of seeds.

Furthermore, in times that we do take up the call to be sowers, many times we just preach and hope for the best. We pray that there be good soil among the rocky and thorny ground. But we read, “The sowers of the seed have a work to do in preparing hearts to receive the gospel. In the ministry of the word there is too much sermonizing, and too little of real heart-to-heart work. There is need of personal labor for the souls of the lost. In Christlike sympathy we should come close to men individually, and seek to awaken their interest in the great things of eternal life . . . the love of Christ, revealed in personal ministry, may soften the stony heart, so that the seed of truth can take root.” She goes on to say that “sowers have something to do that the seed may not be choked with thorns or perish because of shallowness of soil." 

Our role as sowers is not just to spread the seed, but to also work with the soil. Let us remember that just as our hearts were softened by Christ, so too can others’ through our labor.
